Jewellery Care

Our pieces are built to handle real life. A little care just makes them last even longer.

The short version

  • Keep it away from perfume, hairspray, and harsh cleaners
  • Wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing
  • Store it dry, ideally in the pouch it came in
  • Take it off before swimming pools and long, very hot showers

Why perfume matters most

Alcohol-based sprays are the fastest way to dull any plated finish. The simple rule: jewellery goes on last, after perfume, lotion, and hairspray have dried. It comes off first at the end of the day.

Storing it right

Air and humidity are what cause tarnish, and India gives us plenty of both. Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or a fabric-lined box so pieces don't rub against each other. During monsoon, tuck a silica gel sachet into your jewellery box — it pulls moisture away and makes a real difference.

Cleaning

A soft, dry cloth is all you need for regular upkeep. For anything more stubborn, use a barely damp cloth and dry it immediately. Skip toothpaste, baking soda, silver dips, and ultrasonic cleaners — they strip plating.

What to expect over time

We'll be straight with you: no plated jewellery is tarnish-proof forever. Plating is a finish over a base metal, and with enough time and wear it will soften. What our anti-tarnish sealing does is push that out dramatically — with reasonable care, your piece should hold its shine for well over a year of regular wear.

Chlorine, salt water, and constant skin contact at friction points (ring bands, clasp edges) are what wear it down fastest. Rotate your favourites and they'll last longer.
